Settings

The Settings section provides administrators with control over project configuration, security policies, user registration, file storage, reporting, mapping, and image editing features.

Project Settings​

Basic Configuration​

  • Project Name: The display name for your TrackVision instance (e.g., "TrackVision AI")
  • Project Descriptor: Brief description of your implementation (e.g., "Traceability Platform")
  • Project URL: The primary URL where users access the platform (e.g., "https://trackvision.ai")
  • Default Language: Primary language for the platform interface (e.g., "English (United States)")

Modules Configuration​

The Modules section allows you to enable or disable different platform features:

  • Content (/content) - Core content management functionality
  • Insights (/insights) - Analytics and reporting features
  • AI Chat (/ai-chat) - AI-powered chat interface
  • AI Prototype - External AI prototype integration (https://gemini-ui.food.trackvision.ai/)
  • Data Importer (/importer) - Data import tools and utilities
  • Advanced Analytics - External analytics platform (https://analytics.food.trackvision.ai/)
  • File Library (/files) - File management and storage
  • User Directory (/users) - User management interface (can be disabled for security)
  • Settings (/settings) - Administrative settings (can be locked for security)

Security​

Authentication Password Policy​

Configure password requirements for user accounts:

  • None - Not Recommended: No password policy enforcement (not recommended for production)
  • Custom Policy: Define specific password complexity requirements
  • Strong Policy: Enforce strong passwords with complexity requirements

Authentication Login Attempts​

Set the maximum number of failed login attempts before account lockout:

  • Default: 25 failed attempts before lockout
  • Custom: Configure specific attempt limits based on security requirements

User Registration​

Registration Control​

  • User Registration: Enable or disable new user self-registration
  • Registration Route: Allow users to register via the registration route
  • User Role: Assign default role to users who register using this method
    • Does not affect already registered users
    • Role can be selected from available system roles

Email Verification​

  • Verify Email: Toggle email verification requirement
    • Enabled: Sends verification email to registering users
    • Disabled: Users can sign in immediately without email verification
  • Email Address Filter: Restrict registration to specific email domains
    • Add Filter: Create email domain restrictions
    • And/Or Group: Combine multiple filter rules
    • Only email addresses matching filters can register

Files & Storage​

File Transformations​

  • Allowed Transformations: Control which file transformations are permitted
    • Allow all transformations: Enable all available file processing options
    • Custom restrictions: Limit specific transformation types for security

Default Storage Location​

  • Default Folder: Set the default location for uploaded files
    • File Library Root: Standard location for general file uploads
    • Custom folders: Specify alternative default locations
    • Does not affect existing files, only new uploads

Transformation Presets​

  • Custom Presets: Create predefined transformation configurations
    • No items: No transformation presets currently configured
    • Create New: Add new transformation presets for common operations

Reporting​

Feature & Bug Reporting​

Configure URLs for users to report issues and request features:

  • Report Feature URL: Link for users to submit feature requests

    • Example: https://example.com/feature
    • Allows users to suggest new functionality or improvements

  • Report Bug URL: Link for users to report bugs and issues

    • Example: https://example.com/bug
    • Enables efficient bug tracking and resolution

  • Report Error URL: Link for technical error reporting

    • Example: https://example.com/error
    • Provides pathway for detailed error information submission

Mapping​

Geographic Services​

Configure mapping functionality for location-based features:

  • Mapbox Access Token: API token for Mapbox mapping services
    • Required for map displays and geographic features
    • Token format: pk.ey1Ijo..... (partial token shown for security)

Map Configuration​

  • Basemaps: Define available map styles and layers
    • No items: No custom basemaps currently configured
    • Create New: Add custom map configurations for specific use cases

Image Editor​

Image Processing​

Configure image editing capabilities within the platform:

  • Custom Aspect Ratios: Define specific aspect ratios for image editing
    • No items: No custom aspect ratios currently configured
    • Create New: Add specific ratios for consistent image formatting
    • Useful for product images, logos, and branded content
